Our Therapists
James Puett, MS, OT, CHT
Owner, Certified Hand Therapist
James, a Miami, Florida native, earned his Bachelor’s degree in Finance from Florida State University in the mid-1990s. After spending five years in the finance industry, he decided to shift paths and pursued a Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy at Florida International University, graduating in 2000. During a clinical rotation at an orthopedic clinic in Miami, he developed a strong interest in hand therapy. In 2001, James relocated to Houston, embracing the opportunity for a fresh start. By 2005, he had earned his Certified Hand Therapist designation and has been dedicated to serving the orthopedic community ever since. In 2012, he founded Shoulder Elbow & Hand Therapy Specialist clinic. Outside of work, James enjoys staying active. Whether playing pickleball, working out at the gym, cruising on his motorcycle, or spending quality time with his wife and daughter, he makes the most of his free time.

Kiani Ramsey, OTD, OTR/L
Staff Therapist
Kiani, a Corpus Christi, TX native, earned her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from the University of North Carolina in 2019. Her collegiate softball career sparked a passion for orthopedics and upper extremity care, leading her to pursue a Doctorate in Occupational Therapy at Texas Woman’s University in the Houston Medical Center, which she completed in 2023. During her clinical rotation at this clinic in 2022, Kiani gained valuable experience, making it a natural fit to join the team after graduation. She has been an integral part of the clinic ever since. Outside of work, Kiani enjoys coaching club softball and spending quality time with her family and friends.
